Kodi 17.6 (hopefully this changes in 19) doesn't save these settings to iCloud like other apps do (to circumvent the paltry 500kb of permanent storage given to each app). TvOS decides at whim when it needs more buffer space than available and will delete all that non-permanent storage. Other apps just quickly sync with iCloud on opening, whereas with Kodi you have to go and install everything
